Quietly considered.
Always in the horse's
interest.
A small team. A serious craft.
Green Farm Equine was founded by Patrick & Shelley Cliffe after twenty years inside the equine industry — racing yards, stud farms, eventing and showjumping strings.
The decision to build GFE came from a frustration she'd lived herself: standard livery rarely meets the needs of a horse in genuine recovery. Time, attention and the right facilities matter — and they cannot be improvised.
Today, Green Farm offers two services: specialist rehabilitation and professional transport. The same standard runs through both.
A timeline of how we got here.
Beginnings in racing
Shelley begins her career in a National Hunt yard, working through the ranks.
Stud farm experience
Five years on a leading Thoroughbred stud, focused on broodmare and foal care.
Competition string
Establishes a small competition string, eventing through to BE Novice.
Personal rehabilitation case
A complex post-surgery rehab on her own gelding sparks the GFE concept.
Green Farm purchased
Site secured in Derbyshire. Construction of treadmill barn and walker begins.
GFE opens to clients
Rehabilitation and transport services launch to the wider equine community.
Hands-on. Every day.
Green Farm is owner-operated. The people you meet are the people caring for your horse.
